Studio

Studio is the Collab.codes experience for creating and maintaining customer applications.

The intended model is contextual: the Studio should stay close to the application, so users and AI agents can understand the screen, record, workflow, and business intent behind a change.

When to use

Use Studio when a team needs to:

  • suggest a change directly from an application page;
  • comment on a screen with business context;
  • draft an AI-assisted change;
  • route the change through review;
  • publish the result with the right policy.

How it works conceptually

The Studio is designed as a client-side layer loaded near the customer’s application experience.

A change can begin where the user notices the issue. It can be drafted locally, reviewed, moved into version control, and then published automatically or manually depending on the customer’s process.

Governance

Contextual editing does not mean uncontrolled editing.

The workflow should respect:

  • permissions;
  • approvals;
  • environments;
  • pull requests;
  • auditability;
  • publishing policies.

Small companies can use a lighter path. Larger organizations can add approval layers.
